3:09pm: It's happening!  Rachel is in labor!

If you're able, please light a candle and think of all three of us. We appreciate prayers, thoughts, energy and intentions our way as Rachel births this new life into the world and Ben supports this incredible time of transition. Please pray for us as we become parents and for our little one, for all of our health, and for quickness of labor and for safety. 

We hope to send another email with introductions of our new little one soon!

8:29pm: Well, that happened fast!  Just an hour after arriving at the Cambridge Birth Center, Rachel gave birth to our baby!

In retrospect, it seems like Rachel's labor began at 1am and her water broke 1:30pm.  Things were already pretty far along by the time our email went out.  We arrive at Cambridge Birth Center at 4pm and Rachel was fully dilated.  The baby was born at 5:00pm on the nose.

And now our baby is born!  His name Gideon Grace Gagné Guaraldi.  His birth weight is 6 lbs 5 oz and he's 19.5 inches long.  He's already had his first meal, his first cough, his first sneeze, and his first cry.  We're still waiting on his first pee and poop. 

Thank you all for all of your well-wishes and support!  We look forward to introducing you to the little guy!
