About Rachel
Rachel is a practitioner and scholar of contemplative theology, peacebuilding, interreligious dialogue and spiritual caregiving. She holds a graduate degree in teaching from Towson University and a religious studies graduate degree from the Earlham School of Religion. Rachel is a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quaker).
Rachel currently works from home offering spiritual direction & soul care sessions. She enjoys experimenting with creative & contemplative ways to create wonder in her parenting and in her life. Rachel recently worked full time as a palliative care chaplain at a local hospital and she hopes to return to hospice and palliative care chaplaincy in the future. In the past Rachel has also worked as an interfaith staff chaplain at several Boston-area hospitals and she taught Spiritual Caregiving to volunteers working with elders.
Rachel lives in Strafford, Vermont with her husband Ben, and their three children Gideon, Galilee & Gywnevere. Rachel appreciates opportunities to preach at local churches, teach spiritual caregiving to volunteers and offer grief support groups. In her free time, she studies Spanish, herbalism, nature drawing and gourmet cooking. Rachel enjoys hosting friends and family for seasonal celebrations, great food and board games. She also loves gardening, preserving the harvest, fiber arts, taking photos, exploring the outdoors.
